CARD CLUB

We will be starting a new round of Card Club this
Friday, January13th at 7:00pm at my house. The length of this round will be determined by the number of participants. We will need at least 8 participants to make the club successful.

Rules are simple:

- You must commit to the entire round (min. 8 months).

- Every month you commit to place an order of $20 or more
(retail, before shipping & tax) from the current CTMH catalog.

- We will meet once a month.
(right now we meet every 2nd Friday).

If you miss the gathering you will still be committed to placing your monthly
order by the determined order date.

- At our gathering I will teach a new technique or try a new
  product.

- During the round you will be assigned a month that YOU
will be hostess and earn free product!

We have a great time every time we get together. It's a great time for girl talk and crafting! It's also a great way to build your supplies without hurting your wallet too much. Please leave a comment on here, message me, email me or call me if you are interested. I'd like to have a commitment no later than Thursday so I can have enough supplies for Friday.

Friday's theme is Valentine's Day

interactive cards.

Christmas Gifts

I was determined this Christmas to make some of my gifts for my family. On my side of the family we draw names between the siblings and give to the family of the sibling we choose. It is our choice whether we give one big family gift or a gift to each member of the family. I decided I wanted to spoil so I did a gift for each of them.

For my Sister and her husband I thought they could use a date night. So I put this together for them:
I cut the box, tag and flowers using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
The sentiment is from one of my favorite CTMH stamp set Christmas Love.
Ink- CTMH Olive
This is the top of the box.

This is the back. The tag is also cut with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

This is the inside of the box.
I made a band to go around 2 gift cards, one for dinner and one for a movie.
I stamped dinner & movie with the CTMH stamp sets Playful Lowercase and Playful Caps
Inks- CTMH Olive & Cranberry

Next I made my two nieces each a jewelry (trinket) box:

I used a CTMH My Creations Card Box.
The box and flowers were made with CTMH Roxie.

On the inside I put a piece of batting cut to size with a
gift card so they could buy jewelry to put in the box.

This was box number 2. I also used a CTMH My Creations Card Box for this one.
The paper is from My Mind's Eye.

Excuse the mess in the background... I am not a professional photographer. :)

For my 2 little nephews I made them Super Hero Fort Kits. I got the idea from this website: http://www.megandandymade.blogspot.com/2011/05/super-hero-fort-kit.html. The minute I saw these I just knew I had to make one for the nephews and my son (Thanks for the idea Meg + Andy!). I don't have a picture of the ones I made but we will just say it looked VERY similar to one that Meg + Andy made.

I also got them this game:

What kids wouldn't enjoy a 3-D version of Angry Birds?? Of course my son (so I could play it) also got this as a gift... WE LOVE IT!!

My parents are ALWAYS very difficult to shop for. My mom didn't get anything crafty from me this year... sorry Momma! My dad gave her a touch Nano (her first ipod) so I got her an iHome (a generic one) to use around the house... not exciting but useful.
For my Dad I had to get extra creative. I tried to think of something he always does for himself that maybe this year we could treat him this year. My dad loves to fish... so I wanted to pay for his annual fishing license this year... but I can't buy it for him so it meant cash. I can not stand giving cash as a gift for any occasion so I knew I would have to get creative on this one. This is what I came up with:

I made a paper fish pocket and glitterized (yes, it is a word) it,
then I tucked the money (which I creatively folded) inside. I also
included a note so he wasn't completely confused as to what this gift was.
I thought it turned out pretty cute.

These last pictures are just a few other Christmas-y crafts I made:

Glitterized Gift Tags (we made these at Card Club)
All CTMH stamps, paper, ink and cut with the
Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

Reindeer Noses and Magic Reindeer Food
I did these with my Girl Scout Troop.

That is about all I got done this season. Between starting up my CTMH business, holding classes, card club, shopping for my kids, decorating the house, baking cookies, sleeping (oh wait, I didn't do much of that), trying to enjoy my kids on their break (in other words trying not to stress out and yell a lot), keeping the house clean, cooking, eating (I did plenty of that) and making sure Santa made it here, it was all I could squeeze in. I don't think I did too bad.

I hope you were able to get your craft on too!
